BoardingNorwegian's deadline went smoothly. Their premium cabin is, I think, better than virgin's. Lots of leg room, wider seats, and better leg rests made for an enjoyable flight. The flight attendants were outstanding! The food was good, with a choice of beef, potato, and asparagus; chicken and pasta; or the vegetarian option. The entree ws decent, salad was a plain lettuce and tomato thing, and the dessert….
Well! For those of you who know me you know I love dessert! This was comprised of 3 stuffed meringues. 2 were raspberry flavor with a raspberry filling of some sort, and a chocolate meringue with a dark chocolate filling. I truly enjoyed my dessert! Wine and beer are complimentary, but spirits aren't. I had the red and it was pleasant.
The only negative is the entertainment choices are somewhat limited compared to other airlines.
I definitely recommend the upgrade to premium on Norwegian! Not looking forward to the return flight in coach on Wamos.
Arrival was smooth and passport control and baggage reclaim went great.
Gatwick is redoing the train station, causing me some confusion as the elevator/ lift I wanted initially was outside the ticket barriers. However, as I want in a hurry, I opted for the next express leaving from a more accessible platform. The joys of a frequent service!
Spending tonight in London. Tomorrow I, hopefully, try out the new Serco built sleeper service from London to Aberdeen.
